SOCIAL: NEW POLL SAYS 88% SUPPORT HYDRAIL FROM SURREY TO CHILLIWACK
According to the Langley Advance Times, a poll conducted by Research Co. on behalf of the South Fraser Community Rail Project says that there is 88% support to build a rail system powered by hydrogen called the Hydrail, to connect Surrey, Langley, Aldergrove, Abottsford and Chilliwack. The rail system will conect various campuses in the South Fraser community. From Kwantlen Polytechnic University to Trinity Western University and University of the Fraser Valley, this system has alot of benifits for students. Furthermore, commuters in these cities attempting to reach such locations as the newly announced Surrey Regional Hospital, Abottsford International Airport and Huntington cross-border point of entry into the USA, will benifit from such project. These passenger trains will be wholey owned by the citizens of British Columbia and wont require any fare to ride. Each passenger train can hold upto 160 passengers for each two car train. The rail will stretch 90km. As specified earlier, the passenger train will be hydrogen powered and thus all requirements of Clean BC are ensured and considered, a sustainability win for the province. By 2050, the municipality of Surrey will be the largest city in Metro Vancouver. It is a bussling place full of excitement and its where peoples dreams come alive.
